Weekly blog

Monday:Today we started class with our daily science starter. Our science starter was drawing a diagram about ocean ridges and colliding oceanic crusts. After that we went straight into taking notes on the rest of our unit. We had our quiz last week and then we  have a test this coming Friday. We took our notes on general information about earthquakes. I think that I have a pretty good understanding of what we took notes on. After that we got a new lab and it is about building a formation that will be placed on jello and ''jiggled''. You can only make this out of 30 tooth picks and 30 marshmallows. I am with James Albert, today we finished making it, and we also did a couple of lab questions. We ended class with doing that.

Tuesday:Today we started class off with our daily science starter, it was two questions that were a review for our test on Friday. After that we took our last set of notes before our quiz. We studied volcanoes, this was pretty interesting. I feel like I need to review a little bit on our day off tomorrow but I have the general idea of it all. I feel like I am ready. After that we tested our structures on the jelly. My groups' just rolled around, I definently wouldn't want to be in it id there actually was a real earthquake.  After that we just worked on some lab questions, I am almost finished with all of them. That was all we did today.

Wednesday:    Veteran's day, No school!!

Thursday: Today we started with our usual science starter which was basically a review for the test that we have tomorrow. After that we played a review game. It was pretty interesting and fun. This really helped me with understanding the content that we will be tested on. We did that until class ended. Today wasn't to bad.

Friday: Today was the big day! We had that test, the test was not bad, but there were a couple of hard questions. That was all we did.

Improvements: I could improve on my study habits and working on my organizational skills.

Weekly blog

Monday: Today we started class with a science starter that had a diagram with it. We had to label the diagram and we also had to draw it. After this we got straight into doing our lab that we started last week. My partner is James A. We had to finish it because we didn't finish it last week. We had to go to different stations to finish the questions. After we did that Mrs.G sent us a Google forms  that have vocab questions on it. I will finish that in guided study. That was pretty much all we did today.

Tuesday: Instead of doing our science starter to begin class, Mrs.G sent us  link with vocabulary questions on it. I knew almost all of them, but I think that I messed up on a couple. After we did this we did some questions that are sort of reviewing the content. After finishing that, we got a new lab. This lab is about the plate tectonics, boundaries, and subduction zones. We got into groups of three and my group is  Andrei, and Anna. I feel like I ended up have a pretty solid group. This lab has two parts, we only got to the first part today. All we had to do was cut out the continents that formed Pangea, and figure out the way that they went. Alfred Wegener thought that there we continents that fit together like puzzle pieces. We ended class with working on that.

Wednesday: We started with our usual science starter in the beginning of class, then we worked on our lab. The science starter was pretty easy, and after that we went straight into our lab. We finished some lab questions about the first part today, and we got started on the second part. This part os about the seafloor spreading. We had to cut out strips of paper an taped them together. Then we answered some lab questions. I felt like today wasn't a bad day.

Thursday: Today was a pretty chill day, meaning that we didn't to that much. We started science class with our science starter, we had two little easy questions. After we did that Mrs.G announced that we are going to have an easy day tomorrow. Anyways, after we did our science starter we got into our lab that we started two days ago. Today we finished it, we had to do the seafloor spreading and some questions. It was pretty easy, we talked about subduction, and and divergent boundaries. After my group finished that, we felt good about turning it in. After we did that we answered some questions regarding our quiz, also answered questions on Mrs.G's blog. Once I finished that I blogged. I felt like todays science class wasn't pretty normal.

Improvements: I should improve on my study habit because my test grades weren't the best.  I also need to work on taking notes.
