Weekly blog 2

Monday:Today I was very tired because over the weekend I stayed up partying and hanging out with friends and it was fun, but I am so tired. Anyways today we started off with our daily science starter, we actually didn't do a science starter but we did some vocabulary cards. We did some really interesting words we had catastrophism,uniformitarianism,and asthenosphere the words had very very long definitions, but it was ok because the words were pretty interesting. After that we jumped right into the lab. Some people finished the graph and some people did the questions. I finished the questions, I still have to look over them tonight. 


Tuesday:Today I was awake, I mean, I usually am but today I am not as tired as usual. So, we started the class of with our daily science starter,the question was "What would you invent to make the world better". We talked about this topic for a while, I noticed that a lot of people have interesting ideas for the world. After talking about that we did notes on our seeing unit, it is about geology, and I think that it is pretty interesting.We did notes until we finished the class. In the middle of doing the notes Mrs.G showed us a demonstration about density because this relates to geology, it is like the layers of the earth.


Wednesday: Today in class we stated off with our regular science starter about the dependent variable. Then, we did two new vocabulary cards the words were radiometric dating and I don't remember the other one, haha.  After that, we review our homework, it was about the inner core and the outer core. We colored some more layers and we took some notes on them on the back. Then we took notes on the second section of the unit two. It was about the inner core and utter core, and the layers of the earth. Today was kind of a boring day but it was ok.

Thursday:We started off class today with our daily science starter. I actually really don't remember what we did but anyways after that, we pulled out our sheet about Earth's layers. We took more notes on the back of the sheet. Then we took some notes on unit 2. It was more about how the earth first started and the layers. After that we started a lab on relative dating. We took pennies mixed then together in a cup and then dropped onto the table, we organized them by taking the tail side up out and then repeating the same process. So far this lab is kind of boring, maybe it is just because I am tired but it seemed boring to me. 


Friday:It is finally Friday today! I am so excited! So today we started off with our daily science stater about some of the vocabulary words. I am pretty sure that I got the vocabulary words down, they sound to professional when you say them. It is really cool. After that we talked a little about section 2 in our unit and Mrs.G announced that we have our quiz on Wednesday. I have to start studying for that over the weekend, I hope to do a good job. After that, we got back to our lab about relative dating and absolute dating. Wen reviewed the data table and then we started our graph. I got to finish my graph, so I started on the questions. I did not finish the questions but it is ok because the lab is due on Tuesday. I will not be blogging on Monday because it is labor day so there is no school. 


Improvements: This week wasn't that bad but it was kind of boring to me. I need to improve on being more awake and being more attentive. I also need to improve my handwriting, as you all know, I always say that but it is true, it is really bad. Sometimes I can't even read my own writing.
