Weekly blog

Monday:Today we finished the expire mental part of our lab that we got on Friday. This lab requires two different graphs. One is Boyle's law and the other is Charles's law. A reason why we did the graphs were to practice the laws for the test on Wednesday.  Hopefully when I get to that part I will make it neat and organized. This was the graph that was last week, but it is the same layout of what we had to do this week. Today we also finished all of the experiments that we started last week. These were very fun and interesting. One of them was Ivory Soap SoufflĂ© this what it looked liked.
We made this SoufflĂ© by putting Ivory Soap in the microwave, when the air in soap expanded the soap imploded, this was a really cool experiment that Mrs.G chose. When we touched the soap it felt warm and mushy. It also felt soft and it was still hot in the middle. I think everyone enjoyed this experiment. Today we also reviewed and talked about the test on Wednesday.  I feel good about the test. That is all we did today.

Tuesday: Today we study a lot for our test.  We started with going over review questions from our science starter. Then we played grudge ball! if you remember we played it last test. It is basically when you answer questions and you get other people out. We divided into three teams and one person from each team answers a different question and they cross other peoples x's. I think this is really fun game to play and a good way to review. Even though our team got eliminated we still had fun, I didn't  get to answer a question but I still payed attention to the other questions. This did help me review  a lot and I feel very confident about what my grade is going to be. Tonight I am going to study the science tech book and do the assessment. Today we also went over our study guide that we did on Friday. We all went over diffrent questions on it.

Wednesday: Today we had our last test of the first nine weeks. This was not as hard as I thought it would be. Since I studied good I thought it was easy. I also went over the vocabulary before the test. The night before I also took the assesment on the science tech book. I feel good about my test and hopefully I get a good grade. This was one of the quotes Mrs.Giacommeli said to us.

Thursday: Today we got our tests back and began Unit 3! So when I got my test back I was really excited and feeling good. I got a 94!! I am so proud of myself and i think Mrs.G is proud of me too. Our class average was a 94, isn't it legit same score I got on my test. We went over our tests and the mistakes I made were some careless errors. I am very happy so I brought it back home and my parents were very happy too. We had the highest average in all the other classes. I got to put my name on the wall of champions because I got an A. Today we also got started on our new unit. It is about atoms and periodic table. She asked someone to stand up and juggle some oranges. This was a demonstration about the atom's orbitals moving around it. Today we also talked about our atom project and what element we are going to do. This project is about making a 3-d model of an element of an atom. It is due on October 20th.

Friday: Today is my birthday! Today we talked more about our project and we chose our element. My   element is Neon. This is how to read an element on the periodic table.  Neon has 10 parts to it. I am excited about making this model. Mrs.Giacommeli talked about what to do and what not to do and not to make it last minute. She had some good advice on how to do the project. I think this is also a good way to review and learn about atoms for the test. Today we also went over the people who figured out the atom. There names were J.J. Thompson,Niels Bohr, James Chadwick, and Ernst Rutherford. I was interesting learning about them.

What I could improve on...
I could improve on making things more neater and not craming things in. Overall I think that this week was a pretty good week.
