Monday Today we got a new lab called the heating curve lab. This lab required a graph so that was a little different. The graph was a little hard to do at first but when I got everything labeled it was easy. I didn't like this lab to much because we didn't have a lot of expirements. The one expirement we did was basically turn cold water with ice water into boiling water. I learned that a thermometer could be something besides mercury. We used some black substance, I forget what was.
Tuesday: Today we did so more work on our graph that we started yesterday. The fun of today was that we blew up a balloon and we didn't pop it but we let it go, it hit Mrs.G in the face! That was the funny part. Today we had fun. It was a calm day.
Wednesday: Today we had fun with a marshmallow. Mrs.G put a smiley face on a regular marshmallow and she put it in the microwave for a minute. When she took it out the marshmallow was puffy the smiley face was still there but it was big. This was a great idea that Miss Giacomelli had. I thought this was a really fun experiment. This was probably the best experiment we did this week. The science behind this experiment is that when gas rises in temperature it expands. We chose a marshmallow because it is very full with air. Today we also talk about Charles's law in Boyle's law. We took notes on this to.
Thursday: Today we didn't do much. We got a new lab and we only got to do one station, that was a little boring. Today we really didn't do a lot. Today went over our homework from last night about Charles's law. This was a lot of math even though we were in science class.
Friday: Today we didn't have any fun at all. All we did was work on our study guide.
I could improve on making my things more organized.
